Do you need a static ip addresses on your computer?

Quick answer NO, all you need to know is your computer name. You can remote desktop, sharing files etc. by just connecting to that computer name instead of an ip address. Setting up a static IP address isn’t so simple for average user and I think is a waste of time and not for average user. Setting up a static IP you need to network properties settings TCP/IP and set it, then you would have to go to your router and reserve that ip in the DH something server, it’s a mess, so don’t do it. All you need to know is your computer name, and you can do by right click on your [Computer] and select [Properties]

I saw tutorials by people on youtube and many other sites, there are easier ways, just know your computer name 🙂
