Do you know that you can minimize your VMWare workstation to system tray hiding it from task bar

Here’s a quick way to hide your VMWare from task bar to system tray, do that it doesn’t takes so much of your task bar.

Go to Edit > Preferences > Workspace TAB > Check “Keep VMs running after Workstation closes”.

Then just closes vmware by clicking on the top right X in window or exit the program, don’t worry, your vmware will still be running in the background should shows up in the tray icon 🙂
