Devastating Hurricane Sandy left North East like an aftermath of a nuclear bomb

I didn’t realize how bad it was after I watched CNN News and other news online. My area also got impacted, 45 minutes drive from Philadelphia, but here I don’t feel much other than strong wind and lots of rain flooded the basin almost to my backyard fence, no power was ever go off and internet and tv still on, thanks god! We are in the middle of the storm though. Unfortunately many other people aren’t so lucky as seen on TV news. My heart goes out to you all, and I have to say that if you live in a hurricane path or know that flooding can happen and so on, be prepare or live somewhere else. When we bought this house we took all things into consideration, even earthquake, although it doesn’t likely to happen here, but ensure that it can stand, however no one can really predict the force of nature, just have to prepare do a good job as much as we can to prevent and prepare.
