It doesn’t matter if you’re a foreigner or have been living in Vietnam for a long time or born and raise there. Chances are you will get rob, and it doesn’t matter where you are, at home, at wedding party, just driving around, or in the country side. Country side in Vietnam probably worst, because woman get robbed sometime get rapped got pregnant .

Be careful when you’re in Vietnam, it has a very rate of robberies, the robberies most of the time are brutal, just end almost come to the end of 2012 a woman got robbed the crook chopped off her hand to get the jewelry, it’s not uncommon in Vietnam where robbers will ripped off necklace from your neck, ripped off ear ring from your ear, your nose, your tongue, your mouth gold teeth, where ever there’s gold they will rob you, even money and nice clothes, and sometime no reason.

And yes, robbers have guns also, don’t try to be a hero, you can scare them at first but they will come back for retribution. If some robbery and they have weapons it’s better to let them  rob you, if they don’t have weapons then just scream! 🙂
