Big storm hitting NorthEast including my area

Just received an email from Verizon Fios business. Since I have a business account, I think they also send it to non business customer. Just in case it goes out, which impact this website as well because my server are hosted from home, I do have back up power and so on, but never know though.

This storm appears to be big, so will see, although I have received similar messages about big storm but in the end it wasn’t big or big but did not knock out power.

Dear Valued Verizon Customer,
In recent months, the East Coast has certainly had its fair share of significant weather events. As the latest winter storm unfolds, Verizon has deployed resources to support areas that could be impacted. Unfortunately, power outages are the most common weather-related issue our customers experience.  If you should lose power, below are some important tips about your FiOS® service:
In the event of a power outage, your FiOS® Internet and/or TV service will not be available until your power is restored

If you have fiber-based voice service or FiOS® Digital Voice, the Battery Backup Unit (BBU) that Verizon installed to support your Optical Network Terminal (ONT) supplies up to eight (8) hours of corded phone service

Should the battery in your BBU cease to power your corded phone, you may still be able to make an emergency phone call by pressing the blue Battery Emergency Use button on your BBU. This should enable your ONT to reboot and provide up to one hour of additional talk time

Once power is restored, you may need to reset your ONT or reconnect/replace the battery to restore your FiOS service(s)

To Reset Your Optical Network Terminal (ONT)

Unplug the electrical power cord of your Battery Backup Unit from the wall outlet
Wait one minute and then plug the cord back into the wall and see if the ONT resets. If the ONT resets, then your FiOS service(s) should come back online. If not, please try to reconnect the battery according to the directions below

To Reconnect (Or Replace) The Battery In Your Battery Backup Unit (BBU)

Unplug the electrical power cord of your BBU from the wall outlet
Open the battery cabinet on the BBU (you may need a screwdriver to do this)
Disconnect the battery leads and wait 10 seconds. Reconnect the battery leads
Put the battery cabinet back on and then plug the power cord back into the wall and see if the ONT resets. If the ONT resets, then your FiOS service(s) should come back online. If not, you may need to replace the battery that Verizon provided.

I wonder what really happened at Alabama hostage standoff it ended today with one and the child is safe

So as many know if you watched the news, it has ended, the criminal dead and the child is safe. Thanks God! It bother me because I can’t seem to find out what really happens, the Police authorities only released so much information detail but not all of it. basically at 3pm FBI stormed the bunker and rescued the child, that old man died due to gun shot, but was it suicide or shot by authorities, or maybe by the kid? AH!

Worst could happens such as booby trap, bombs and mines and so on the premises since it belong to him, but none! That man shot the bus driver because he was protecting the children, then randomly pick anyone kid, well he picked one he wanted two but I guess he couldn’t handle two. The motive still unknown, I don’t think it’s about money, no idea what he want or demand, I bet it has to do with the president Obama, he wanted Obama to step down! yeah that’s it! 🙂 LOL ok not funny, stayed tuned.

Why isn’t blogging consider as a computer job?

I came across a facebook post in regard to “Best computers jobs for the future”, now if we look at it on the site, it has all kind of IT jobs computer related jobs. So why isn’t blogging consider as part of the computer jobs?

To me, successful blogger make six figure income or as much as a person working for a company. Blogging doesn’t make money overnight in most case, but with hard work and dedication which is similar to going to school and learn new technique and knowledge to get you into better jobs, why not blogging?

Blogging within a few years such as 4 years for a Bachelor degree and Master 6 years, so we start blogging today, 4 to 6 years later, I’m very sure the time spending in school vs. the time blogging you will make as much or more money than a 6 years graduated by blogggin. Blogging is also a job that you can work from anywhere in world with or without internet, if you don’t have internet you can blog save as text or doc, when internet available upload and save or publish or schedule certain time to go live with your post.

Chances are someone will come across your blog, found it interesting and forward it to their friends, and off course the search engine will also be interested with your blog and they will crawl your blog daily or as frequent whenever you post. So that when people search for certain things, it will bring them to your blog if you have information what they’re looking for.

Such jobs do exist but they are under some “unknown” category. Blogging or facebooking is not computer job. I see it fit better in social network or communication. If you can offer your talent and skills are unique enough to serve high volume of demand, your salary will be compensated. And that apply to all types of skills, not just skills in the computer world specifically. Such common sense has become a business strategy and that works well for lifehacker and facebook, largely due to the increasing of number of people have access to the Internet finding resources to replenish their knowledge and nullify their boredom.

Gun violent again in America and again at a school

For this latest shooting on a community college campus in Houston, it wasn’t a massive attack, so far it appear to be a shooting between two students or two people, but by-stander get hit and wounded, the shooter don’t care about people around them if it accidentally hit by stander they don’t care. So! NRA!, in this case tell me, what’s the cause? BS! it’s gun violent you idiot fool at the NRA, you make me sick and many people in the US would to get you hang punk ass NRA stupid ass.

Alright so! this shoot was not a pre-plan, but it still involve guns, and we need to get rid of guns, hopefully Obama gun ban will have some kind of good impact we would see less violent. Incident like this hopefully trigger better security screening around school area, and off course trigger health care mental health to retarded people, and we need to keep retarded people separated from society, and don’t tell we can’t do that because it’s racism! kiss my ass it’s not racism, it’s for your safety the safety of the retarded people and safety of me.

Prepare for a cold or flu initiated by a Sore or Dry or Scratchy Throat

That’s right people, if you have these symptoms, it will follow by dizziness, tiresome, it is a cold or a flu. However a Sore or Dry or Scratchy Throat can sometime be serious not follow by Flu or Cold. So be careful!

However normally when I get a scratchy throat, it is always follow by mucus in the throat, light head ache, dizziness, then soft cough and so on, it does go a way in a few days. For me that’s the symptoms for a cold or a flu, I never really drink any medication as I don’t think there’s any medication that would cure it, however there are medication over the counter for suppressing it, but not really a cure, the cure really is rest, hot chicken soup, sleep, let your body fight the virus, but eating lots of vitamins such as Orange Juice C.

It’s funny sometime people said “I think I need antibiotics to cure my cold” LOL now for all of you medical student or a know a bit about cold or flu, it is a virus, I don’t think a cold or virus need to be treated with antibiotics, however if it does gets worst last more than weeks then yeah see your doctor, you might need it because it’s no longer a virus 🙂 OK what do I know right? I’m not a doctor or a medical student, hec! I don’t even know how to write english LOL. But, what I know is by observing, reading and watching informative current news and I mean current! not old ancient 1975 encyclopedia.

A cold or flu is a virus, it spread from person to person, so if you want to prevent this, take a flu vaccine shot or keep on washing your hand and never put you hand finger to your eye nose air and mouth, that’s where the virus will get to you.

However I say this clearly, blogging is not for everyone! don’t trust or believe those other guys saying it’s for anyone! that’s FALSE! it’s not true, blogging is not for everybody. You got to blog in English, need sponsors or Google Adsense, that’s how you will get pay. You need a computer and internet.

You have to travel anyways, why? because you need to writes off some tax if you’re making too much money via 1099-MISC.

My four years old started to talk a lot lately but can’t seem to understand her much

My four years old daughter has been trying to talk a lot lately, but it’s hard to understand the word coming out of her mouth. I believe part of it because of my fault, I didn’t talk to her much, I would communicate with when needed such as her food is ready what she need to eat what’s on TV and all the necessity talk but never really carry out a long conversation. So where does she learn to talk?

Sesame Street PBS TV, that’s right public television that have no commercial, not violent, not politics … Every morning I woke up, I prepared foods, then have them finished their food, then my older daughter goes to school and the younger one stayed home. I always have the TV on from after breakfast to early evening on PBS kids TV, she would be watching PBS kids all day, and I believe she learned how to communicate or talk from Sesame Street television. My TV is HD so it’s very clear I’m not worrying so much about her eye, because the picture is in HD and she’s not watching the TV all the time, most of the time she would be running around yelling, playing with her toys in another room or she would want to sit on my lap watching me blogging working 🙂

I think Sesame Street is a very good show for kids, although it started early in the morning and the last show ended around 6PM, and then the nightly news PBS started to come on and take over the rest of the night, although you can still watch other shows on PBS with no commercial but  most likely it’s for adult news and politics. Kids public TV is awesome, no violent, no commercial, all the fun in the a kids manner, good kids that is, not bad kids, no violent and they speak very clearly and off course educational from learning to count to the alphabet.

I do feel bad however because other people ask about my kids and I told them that I home care for her at home and she doesn’t get a chance to interact with other kids much, they started to pick on me and said I’m a bad parents, they told me to get my kids outside and interact with other kids … worst of all those people don’t even have children  and one of them even had a son that he never goes sees, but I believe he sends money that’s about it, and got married, on top of that graduated over 6 months ago still have no job and he’s teaching me a lesson on how to take care of my kids? Maybe he know something I don’t LOL. OK people be nice to others, as how you would like how others treated you, anything you say or do will impact your future relationship with that person. Don’t text and drive? how about alternative solution from me

All these news about distraction while driving would get you fine thousand of dollars, get into accident, and even death. So far I hear the fix is not to do that?

How about think outside of the box, you can still text, surf the web, make a video, be distracted but still have your eye on the road. How? simple. One word!

Technology.

How about a permanent fix, but enforcing auto manufacturers standard all vehicles with voice recognition, text to speech and last but not least sensors sonar detector give a warning that will wake you up when you’re too close too fast or crossing lanes.

Text to speech – when someone sends you sms text or text or update or post on your facebook or whatever, read it to you so you don’t have to look at it.

Voice recognition – want to respond to someone’s messages? or even email? facebook post, easy, just say it, and post it.

Sensor sonar technology – sense if the vehicle is going too fast or too slow or too close to another vehicle or crossing lanes will warn you louder and louder until you fix your driving.

There! how’s that for a fix huh? 🙂
