Just in case anyone need to know or curious, it’s proven that transaction placed outside of ebay paypal charge higher fee, I don’t know the exact percentage but I can prove that in ebay, for a $10 transaction, paypal took 27 cent. For the same $10 transacted in ebay, paypal took 43 cent, so it’s almost doubled. This happen for example, you sold something to someone, they made payment, you shipped, but shipment did arrived on time within the estimated window, so you decided to refund user, user got refund, but then shipment arrived to user, but one of the feasible way for user to pay you back is to create a request money from paypal, which is outside of ebay, then user paid, but now: you loose money on ebay fee, loose money original transaction, and off course loose money on this new transaction, but it’s not too bad, it work! as an exception process.
