Home Owner Association benefit pro and con Mid Atlantic Home Owner Association Coatesville PA

My wife and I purchased this current home we’re living in now back in lat 2007, can’t believe it’s almost 5 years we live in this home, the longest ever been, and look like for a long time. My wife said she love this house and would like to keep it, look like we’ll be working hard to keep it, the economy no so good, it impacted my job already and wife job still ok but not great. Lately I believe it was back December where this area had been handed over to the home owner association, in this case Mid Atlantic Home Owner Association, the fees kind of high as of now, but we’re thinking it’s for good use such as cleaning the road cutting the grass in open area and so on, other than that I think it goes to a saving account just in case disaster strike this area, but I don’t know for sure. Last Sunday the so call volunteer Home Owner Association leader for this area stop by our house and had some talk about this area and there will be meeting soon on the Home Owner Association where the money goes and if any problems we see in the neighborhood that can be improved. I voice opinion by saying “dog poop problem” there are people that walk their dog around but don’t clean up after their dog, and it stink, and definitely hazardous for kids to play running in the grass. Most people walk their dog to our neighborhood are not from our neighborhood, they’re from another area. I have no problem with dog pet, but I might have problem with the owners of those pet dog, they need to clean up after their dog, ensure the lease are secured, ensure the dog are well maintained in term of free from diseases and stuff. I hope this home owner association will be beneficial not a burden or affecting our quality of life.
