I’ve been using skype for quite a long time, and it served me well. However don’t believe the unlimited subscription, it is limited. Same as magicjack, but magicjack sucks, I used it for a year and cancelled the service. Skype is way better, the voice quality is clear no matter where you are, even with a bit slow internet, it does work well, just don’t use the camera for slow internet, it’s a bit distorted. Now skype are offering unlimited call subscription to South America Brazil, Russia and Mexico, I think that’ great. My monthly subscription was less than $3 a month, and it’s awesome, can’t beat this deal.
