Well, I don’t if it’s good or bad, but I have a computer server that have a very noisy video card fan running, it just happen recently about few days ago, very noisy, and I cannot just turn off that computer and replace the video card or fix the fan. So what I did was, what the hec!, I use WD-40 small spray can with the little straw and man it work, spray one or twice it doesn’t work, the third time it does the job and no mess, no spill, awesome now the video card no longer making any loud noise or any sound at all. Here’s tips for people running server, if you’re not doing any high graphic get a video card that doesn’t have a fan 🙂 heatsink alone is perfect. If you’re going to use the WD-40 to fix noisy fan, do it careful, don’t spill or make a mess. For me while the computer was on and simply stop the fan by poking it and start spraying 🙂
