Just in case you missed this, basically this teacher and I’m sure other teachers as well did this. What she did was hide her students in a closet ages 7-10 years younger in this case because they’re first grader, I would say 8 years old. After she hide the students, as the shooter went into her classrooms she told him that the children are at the gym then the shooter killed her. Now, I’m sure she wasn’t the only teacher would do this, especially K-1 and first grader, those special teachers are there to love and care for the youngster, so any teacher would dedicate to first grader especially would have done something like this, however what make Victoria special is that she did that and got killed.

I would question why she didn’t hide with the children, we may never know, however the obvious answer would be, there wasn’t enough room? she want to be a hero? she want to divert the shooter to somewhere else? how many students were in her classroom some said 26 children, how can a closet fits all 26 children I understand they’re youngster, small, and might have multiple closet. If this teacher did what was told, I would take a bullet for her, we need more teacher like her, but I would have done a little bit different than her, I would try to hide as well. The story appears to be like a scene from many movies but in this case with many kids hiding in the closet as kids heard the bullets and probably witness their teacher died.

My hear goes out to all that got effected by this, and hopefully it will change the way how we would secure Elementary school and how to be proactive at identifying possible trouble maker, because clearly the shooter was previously at the school had some kind of altercation or altercate somekind of argument with the school, then came back the next day and the faculty let him in. I’ve been in and out of Elementary school campus for my daughters I noticed they have door secure like this, during school hours, the school entrance all get locked and secure with a remote security camera door bell, before you come in you would push the button and the camera took your picture, in this case, it was someone school know and previously had problem with, and they let him in, why didn’t they question? why didn’t they check the log to see if this person made an appointment to come in during school hours?

every school in american should be locked during school hours and carefully screen all visitors coming and out ensure appointment are made and screen the visitors background
